ABOUT THE PROJECT:
A Compact Space with a Bold Identity
Verna Café was designed as a small yet efficient takeaway café, with a vision for future expansion. The project required a careful balance between function, aesthetics, and brand identity, ensuring a seamless customer experience while maintaining operational efficiency.
The challenge was to create a welcoming and cozy environment within a limited space, avoiding visual clutter while introducing elements that enhance customer engagement. To achieve this, the design prioritizes simplicity, clarity, and functionality, ensuring that every aspect of the space serves a purpose.
Strategic lighting highlights the preparation line and counter, reinforcing the café’s dynamic atmosphere and drawing attention to the service area. Greenery is introduced not only to enhance the ambiance but also to define the café’s boundaries and create a subtle separation between the seating area and pedestrian flow. The material palette—black metal profiles, expanded metal mesh, and concrete-patterned panels—establishes a semi-industrial character that is durable, low-maintenance, and aligned with the café’s branding.
The use of straight lines and clean geometric forms ensures visual clarity, reinforcing the café’s emphasis on efficiency. The environmental graphics are carefully integrated to strengthen brand identity, making a lasting impression from the first glance.
Verna Café’s design is more than just a physical space; it is a thoughtful composition of elements that support both the customer experience and the brand’s long-term vision for growth.
